The Utah Public Opioid Dashboard (UPOD) is an interactive visual presentation of indicators tracking opioid data in Utah. The intent of the UPOD is to provide actionable data related to the opioid epidemic.
The dashboard provides an overview of the most current data for opioid-related indicators and compares them with data from previous time periods to inform opioid overdose prevention efforts. Opioid-related indicators are geographically represented by counties and small areas through maps, figures, and tables. The Utah Department of Health is constantly working with data stewards to improve the timeliness and quality of the data represented.
The UPOD main dashboard page is comprised of a set of five opioid summary indicators that appear at the top of the opioid dashboard page and a set of six trend indicators that appear below the opioid summary indicators.
The opioid summary indicators provide a quick look at opioid data for the state of Utah. The opioid summary indicators are static counts that are updated on an annual basis. The counts provided for each opioid summary indicator represent the most recent year that data are available for the specific indicator.
